Living a full life

I remember reading posts from other bloggers, saying things like ‘There’s too much going on in my life right now, so there’s no time for blogging’ and similar.
I always considered my blog as something more natural, just a medium to post my thoughts and ideas and sometimes even work as I get to it. If there’s no time than I will not do it, I said to myself.

Well, I realized, it is not that simple, after all. I am happy that I get some visitors and I celebrate every comment you make, so not posting for a longer period of time makes me a bit nervous to loose you (or to bore you), my readers.
On the other hand, there is so much going on right now, I don’t know where my head is. Work is very intense, two new projects are open, and the old ones are dragging behind. There’s so much going on with Tamara, I could go and on on about her. Than, there are small and big things like my cousing getting married last weekend. Or us, sitting in a broken car (with Tamara) on a highway on Friday evening (the day before wedding) on the way back from Koper where I went to have stitches removed from my operated leg. Or Sunday, full of sun, cooking food and enjoying ourselves at home, finally.

I could write a post about all of these, and also about my knitting, and how green the grass and the trees were in the park today. Probably this week will be more relaxed and I can write some about any of these things, mentioned here. Or some others, we’ll see.

Grasswire left for NY and we are all by ourselves here in Kamnik. Everything is OK, well I am a bit ill (fevr, headache), but Tamara is not and that’s what counts.

I am looking forward to some nice yarn and kniting books which I will - hopefully - get on Monday. Hooray!

A proper way to eat a banana?

What is the proper way to eat a banana? My daughter thinks you should hold it like corn and work on it from left to right. See?

We’ve had a very nice weekend - it was sunny and warm and I was just about to write that the spring is here, but I don’t dare to do that, because every time I mention spring I spoil everything - i.e. next day it starts to snow.

This week I was looking at all those beautiful photographs from cherry trees in blossom in Japan (take a look here, these are really nice), so it made me want to share some blossoms from Slovenia with you. These have been taken today:

Have fun!

Etsy love and blogland lurkers

Surfing Etsy used to be one of my favourite time-killers when Tamara was just a couple weeks old. There, I could see loads of new, exciting stuff every day. I could day-dream of buying pieces of really nicely crafted jewlery. I could make plans for my next craftsy projects, because, there are just so many marvelous ideas, realized and submitted from people all around the globe. I guess, it was my imagination food.

As days passed there was not so much time to surf Etsy, but I still do check it from time to time. Last week I stumbled upon this gorgeaus shop -Star of the East. Those of you who know me will instantly tell that it’s not just the jewlery which they sell that has attracted my attention. My love for Turkey and everything Turkish is one aspect of the attraction to this shop.  And the other one is this nice description of bloggers on her Blog.

We talked about this (to us fascinating fact) with Grasswire just a cuple of days ago and I wonder wether it’s just us who noticed, or would you also agree that there are so many female blogs, it looks like the whole blogosphere is predominatly female. On the other hand, it may be that we are just attracted to more ‘female’ poits of interest.

Anyway, what I wanted to share with you is this paragraph, which is such a nice tribute to us, female bloggers, written by the Star of the East:

“… the blogs I love are the ‘daily life – real people’ kind. All those women out there, raising their kids, cooking their food, knitting their socks, gardening, sewing, painting, nursing, caring , working ,worrying, loving…
It is overwhelming, so much energy, so many skills…”
You can read the whole post here.

It’s really strange to make a photo-less post. So, here are main reasons I want to travel to Turkey soon again:

Morepj has given me You make my day award quite a couple of days ago, so it’s time that I do something about it!

After careful thought I decided that no, probably, I cannot give this award to Ravelry, where I have met a couple of lovely, great, kind and adorable knitters - Morepj is among them.

So, here’s my list:

I know, it’s just 8 entries, but that’s enough for a first time, isn’t it?

And now, I’ll go back to my Baby Moderne. Good night!
