Saturday in town

I love Saturday mornings - usually we spend them in town, shopping for fresh (well, more or less) produce from our local market. It’s really a small market - just a couple of stalls, but after a couple of years we have became very familiar with the sellers. Now, for example, we are in the category ‘baby eggs’, which means that the old man who is selling eggs will save us 10 freshest eggs, because, you know, we have a baby and a baby should eat only fresh eggs. :)

This Saturday it was just us, girls, because Grasswire had to work.
So, on the way back home we stopped for a coffe. Which is a thing we usually do on Saturdays after the shopping. As I was sitting outside, feeding Tamara, I had a glimpse at the coffe-table and –ooohhh!– I couldn’t believe my eyes. If somebody told me two years ago that this is what my life (and my Saturday morning coffe) would turn into, I’d call them crazy.

There, go figure yourself.

A quick note for all Tamara fans that read this blog.

Today, we’ve been to our regular check-up. When we put her on the scale it showed 8.830 gramms. The nurse said she’s got the measures of a model. I assume that was a polite way of saying she’s quite slim ;)

Well, after a couple of months of not being so sure, now I can say with total confidence that she likes to eat.  And she eats so much, I wonder where all that food goes?

Here she is, my little model, sitting in grass posing for me (not!) two weeks ago:

Tamara loves laptop(s) - she is not very picky, she’ll use mine or my husband’s. Whichever’s at hand. She will bang with her little fists on keyboard and sometimes (quite often, actually), she will press combination of buttons that trigger some kind of action - open pop-ups, start new programs, shut down the internet connection…

Yesterday she has managed to write a secret message on my Vista ‘notes’.  Am such a proud mother I will not change it in years to come :)

Tamara is walking! Her steps are grumpy and unsecure and she falls a lot, but nevertheless, she is walking. Am the proudest mother in universe.

I know everybody learns to walk sooner or later in their life, but…She is just 10 months.
And she is the most devoted person I have ever met – I know walking has been a great mystery and wish since she was about 3 months and was just lying on the carpet observing the world move around her. Probably, she was thinking: ‘I want to do this ASAP’. During the last months I could see her energy and her moves all directed to that same goal.

And now she did it.
I am so proud of her. I can see that she is also proud of herself.

Way to go, little girl!

Tamara has been ill since Monday. She had fever and we haven’t gone out of the house since. The weather has been great and her tenperature has fallen today, but she has developed red spots. This means she has 6th desease (according to very reliable internet forums).  It’s a funny name for a desease. I wonder how it’s called in other languages?

Here is a photo of her, taken last week, demonstrating yoga to my coworkers:

There you go! Now  you know how to do it properly. ;)
